Based upon research by Iris Trapman, an outline for an intervention model for gender based violence in conflict areas has been developed for ICCO and its partners.

ICCO and KerkinActie organized a workshop about Gender Based Violence at the World Social Forum 2009.

Visit to Emaus a local partner organization in Belem

During the World Social Forum we visited Emaus a local partner organisation in Belem. Emaus works with youth in one of the poor neighbourhoods in Belem. Violence against youth and especially sexual violence against girls is a big problem. Below a short video which gives an impression of our visit.
